Ebanx receives investment of US $ 430M
The payment platform Ebanx has received a US $ 430 million private equity injection from Advent International, placing the investment firm as a minority partner. Ebanx’s co-founder Wagner Ruiz told iupana the company will use the capital to expand its local payments network in Latin America, and make acquisitions.
Credijusto acquires Banco Finterra
The Mexican SME loan fintech Credijusto has bought Banco Finterra for US$ 50 million, becoming the first fintech in Mexico to acquire a bank. With the purchase, Credijusto plans to position itself as the largest provider of financial services for SMEs.
Insurtech: Betterfly raises US $ 60M
Chilean insurtech Betterfly has closed a US$ 60 million Series B round, with participation from DST Global Partners, QED Investors, Softbank, among others. Now, Betterfly is Latin America’s highest-valued insurtech, at US$ 300 million.

Dapp raises US $ 12M Series A
The Mexican payment fintech Dapp has closed its series A round for US$ 12.4 million, led by G2 and Kalonia. With the investment, Dapp plans to expand its network of associated businesses and digital wallets in Mexico, Antonio Peláez, CEO, told iupana.
Mercado Pago and ASECH form strategic alliance
The fintech arm of Mercado Libre and the Chilean Entrepreneurs Association (Asech) have formed an alliance to facilitate digital sales for small businesses with tools such as payment links, subscriptions, web pages, among others.
